Official Tasting Notes Nose – a highly appealing combination of cut grass and warm sourdough slathered in honey. Background notes of pale ales, breads, white flowers with pollen and a little youthful calvados. Water unveils a lot more soft and plush cereal aspects along with more breads, toast, butter, yellow plums and some lemon barley water. Palate – juicy and sweetly fruity up front on arrival. Yellow plums, honey, flower nectars, grassy olive oil and tiny hints of white pepper and clove. An impressively thick and engaging mouthfeel. Dilution softens out the sweetness and balances it with more of these rich bready and biscuity notes. There are also more floral and cereal qualities once again. Finish – medium in length and a little sharper and more peppery than usual. Clean, peppery, and showing a nicely subtle herbal bitterness.
